Attendance

Children who attend every day make the best progress and enjoy school more.

We encourage regular attendance at school and ask parents/carers to support us in getting the children to school before 9am each day.

Both schools have good attendance and this is monitored by attendance officers. If your child is not going to attend school then we always need to hear the reasons for the absence.  If we do not hear from you then school will call you or even visit your house to conduct a welfare check.

If a family does not enable their child to attend regularly then the Council may issue a fixed penalty notice (fine).

If you are not sure whether to send your child to school or not, check out this useful NHS website that will give you guidance: https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/is-my-child-too-ill-for-school/
