Mrs S Palmer

I am a retired teacher and a member of St Chrysostom’s church, who has lived in the local area for thirty years. I taught students learning to be teachers at the Manchester Metropolitan University, having first been an infant school teacher. Religious education, learning through play and enquiry, and children’s literature are particular interests.

I have been an inspector of School Worship and Religious Education for the Church of England and I have written a number of books to support the teaching of Religious Education. Currently I lead a group at St John’s for parents to practise English and I have started to listen to children read regularly in the school. I am also a governor at Heald Place Community School in Rusholme.
